S1E1: Stuck in the Ice

In 1914, Ernest Shackleton set out to become the first person to walk across Antarctica. Instead, his ship, the Endurance, was trapped and crushed by sea ice, leaving twenty-eight men stranded at the bottom of the world. What followed was one of the greatest survival stories ever told: months on floating ice, a desperate lifeboat voyage, an 800-mile crossing of the roughest ocean on earth, and a climb over uncharted mountains. Shackleton never reached his goal, but every man of the Endurance crew came home alive. Along the way we hear about a stowaway, a torn-out page from Job, and a leader who gave away his own mittens. The point: good leaders take care of their people (Mark 10:43). This is a public episode.
