S1E163: 163| Mental Health Support Online

from Hong Kong Confidential · host Auscast Network

After going through her own mental health issues, Jessica Yeung realised that finding support in Hong Kong was not very easy or cost effective. She decided to start her own online mental health support platform, Common Care Central where clients are matched with therapists and they can have affordable care in the comfort of their own home. Jessica has a large pool of mental health professionals that she can connect with clients and she takes the time to try and match the right professional with each person who reaches out to her. The supports services that she provides are much cheaper than most professionals in Hong Kong and the fact that the sessions are done online means that people do not have to go to a clinic for professional help. Jessica's goal is to help others in Hong Kong feel empowered to take charge of their mental health as she personally understand what it is like to struggle with mental health issues with very little support.
