S1E19: The Sabbath-A Sign of Our Sanctification

from Sabbath Reflections with Randy Skeete

A closer reading of Genesis 2:2-3, shows that God blessed and sanctified the Seventh day only after He had rested on that day. In other words, God took a secular day and made it special or holy. In Ezekiel 20:12, we are told: "Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them." How does the Sabbath become a sign of our Sanctification? In the same way that God took a secular day out of the seven and made it holy, God takes secular and sinful people like you and I, sanctifies and transforms us into His holy likeness.
