S1E2 - The Mine and the Mindful

In this week's thrilling episode of "Tales from Tomorrow," our intrepid adventurers found themselves locked in mortal combat with a Wendigo. The creature, having just feasted upon their friend Hell's Bells, proved more resilient than ever — its mysterious hide and regenerative abilities allowing it to shrug off everything from flaming arrows to bullets.With conventional weapons proving ineffective and party members taking severe damage, our wastelanders hatched a desperate plan. Raven decided to lay a bottlecap mine in hopes of ending the creature's reign of terror. In a moment of incredible bravery, Raven ventured into the very hallway she had booby-trapped. Leaping over her own landmine, she hurled a bottle and brandished a flare, successfully drawing the creature's attention away from her wounded comrade.This distraction gave Jim the chance to hobble to safety. But dear listeners, what happened next would make even the most hardened Super Mutant's knees weak — Raven triggered the mine herself, resulting in a massive explosion that left her buried under rubble, barely clinging to life.Thanks to the unwavering dedication of her fellow wastelanders, Raven was pulled from the debris and stabilized. We leave our comrades this week alive, though gravely wounded, their ordeal rewarded with both the riches hidden within the cave and an untouched grotto ripe for exploration.Their friend Hell's Bells was also rescued and will likely return with them to the town of Hope. The harrowing experience has strengthened our survivors, with each member of the party gaining a level and new perks to choose from in the coming week.
