A hugely successful solo artist in his own right but also the driving force in Slik, Rich Kids, Ultravox and Visage. He was also part of Thin Lizzy, wrote Do They Know It’s Christmas, co-organised Band Aid and Live Aid, and nearly ended up in the Sex Pistols!
