S1E28 Yinka Freeman - Cross-Cultural Connections

Join me this week as I sit down with Yinka Freeman, the creative force behind the wildly successful award winning event firm, Triple Pocket Events. Yinka is truly one of a kind with a deep passion for making a difference, a work ethic that will run circles around most and a smile that will greet you with a palpable expression of love and acceptance.  Her intentions in life and in her work are a critical part of her success and a constant thread within her personal and professional relationships.  Yinka shares her incredible childhood journey that took her from Sierra Leone West Africa to Minnesota, back to Ethiopia, then to Kenya, then to Paris and finally landing here in Southern California.  She shares her strong family upbringing that took an unexpected turn during her coming out later in life and the community that ultimately allowed Yinka to find and experience her true self for the first time.  She now pays that gift forward here locally and around the world.  It is a really beautiful moment and says a great deal about her and the community in which she serves.
