S1E3 - Barriers, Bears, and Gummy Bears

from Getting to Third Space with Lamar and Tom · host From Klaus Haus Productions, featuring Tom Klaus and Lamar Roth

Welcome to Getting to Third Space with Lamar & Tom! In this podcast, released on October 21, 2023, Lamar & Tom discuss barriers and guidelines for productive civil conversations. The barriers they consider are internal barriers - those attitudes, ideas, expectations, even beliefs we hold - that may hold us back from engaging in civil conversation with people whose ideas, opinions, experiences, and lives are different from our own. Then they offer four guidelines for overcoming or “checking” those barriers to make it easier to engage others. They also take a moment to talk about and enjoy the antics of bears.
