S1E30: Alligator/No Feces in these Sewers

from Booze and B-Movies · host Booze and B-Movies

Classic story of what happens when you flush a pet alligator down the toilet. Of course it grows to extreme size by surviving on test animals full of growth hormone, then gets really mad and terrorizes your city. After all, it's got all them teeth and no toothbrush. Luckily a cop and a herpetologist (who is an expert on reptiles, not what you were thinking) are there to save the day. There was also a big game hunter for a little bit, but he fell for the classic "Giant Alligator hiding under a twelver of Miller High Life" gambit. It's basically an '80s version of Lake Placid, except it takes place in a city. Lots of people get chewed up. Alligator final grade: Steve really likes this movie, calls it one of the best movies we've watched, and recommends it for anyone who likes giant critter flicks. 4.9/5.0 Brandon says the effects were legit and the acting was perfectly competent. No explicit or dark humor, no over-the-top-gore, no goofiness. The movie loses points for being too "good." 4.312/5 Cocktail of the Week: Gin Rickey 1 1/2 oz Old Tom Gin One half, or one whole lime, depending on lime juiciness. Topo Chico Sparkling Water Squeeze the juice of 1/2 of a large lime, or one whole small lime into a highball glass. Throw a chunk of ice in there, then add gin. Plop the lime in the glass and top with another chunk of ice. Top with sparkling water. Cocktail Grade: A refreshing classic cocktail. Easy to throw together. No sugars make it friendly to people who can't or won't do sugar. 4.58/5 ------------------ Contact us with feedback or cocktail/movie recommendations to: [email protected] X: @boozeandbmovies Instagram: @boozeandbmovies Threads: @boozeandbmovies www.facebook.com/boozeandbmovies
