S1E4 RR360 Bike rules. Keeping left, overtaking etc s141-300 (part 2)

from Streets and People · host Get Around Caboolture

John Burrill, former Transport & Main Roads road rules subject matter expert and Wendy Nash, founder of Get Around Cabo Carfree discuss Qld's bike riding rules 1 by 1 as listed on the Qld government bike fines page. We hope you will learn about the road rules for bikes. In this episode we discuss the other half of the rules in Keeping left, overtaking and other driving/riding rules > Qld Road Rules sections 141 to 300 (Part 2). This is car legislation translated to bikes and discusses overtaking, giving way, reporting crashes, drinking. It's an important one. Road Rules 360 (RR360) cohosted with John Burrill, former TMR subject matter expert for Qld’s road rules. We discuss the road rules for people riding a bike, walking, in a wheelchair or on a scooter or other personal mobility device (PMD).  Not Everyone Drives (NED) are conversations with people who don’t drive for any reason. They may have a disability, be on medication, strapped for cash, too young, too old, unlicensed, they had a collision or want to do something else than drive everywhere. This one’s for policymakers to understand the implications for their decisions.  People & Projects (P&P) are for transport advocates and people who are curious to hear what’s happening globally and locally. These are interviews with academics, advocates and community group leaders.  Please bear with us as we get the hang of podcasting. www.GetAroundCaboCarfree.com.au Artwork by Chris Woodard
