S1E43: Maniac Cop/Tiny Sword, Big Body Count

from Booze and B-Movies · host Booze and B-Movies

First, Steve shares the feelings he has deep in his heart for #orthodontists and we go over the CSU Lady Rams Hockey season-opening victory over the University of Denver. Then, on to the movie... Maniac Cop features a cop who is a maniac, killing innocents. But, even though we find out he has severe brain damage, he's smart enough to know he needs a fall guy on whom to pin these murders. So, he frames another dude who also has a sizeable chin, Jack Forrest. Unfortunately, the NYPD's greatest detective somehow knows that the patsy isn't actually committing the crimes, and he teams up with Forrest to find the real killer. Maniac Cop final grade: Steve Formulaic, middle-of-the road movie. It's not the worst movie you could watch, but if you don't see it, that's fine too. 2.5/5.0 Brandon Nothing about this movie is particularly memorable or interesting. It's a fine movie to space out in front of the TV with if you like watching dudes get stabbed with a tiny sword or chucked out windows. 2.5/5 Cocktail of the Week: Whiskey Smash 2 oz Whiskey 3/4 oz Simple Syrup Three lemon wedges A handful of fresh mint Drop three lemon wedges into a cocktail shaker with 4-6 mint leaves. Muddle them together, then add the bourbon and simple syrup. Shake to combine and chill, then double strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Cocktail Grade: Very lemony. Probably used too much lemon. Like, if Vitamin C were personified into a monster the size of the Incredible Hulk and Hulk Smashed you in the face. 3/5 ------------------ Contact us with feedback or cocktail/movie recommendations to: [email protected] X: @boozeandbmovies Instagram: @boozeandbmovies Threads: @boozeandbmovies www.facebook.com/boozeandbmovies
