Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung announced in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 6) that Singapore will negotiate air travel bubbles with safe countries for general travellers that does not require a controlled itinerary. Mr Ong said these two-way travel bubbles will be different from reciprocal green lane arrangements meant for business and official travellers, and come on top of other measures to revive the nation as an air hub.
