(S1E6) - Stop Talking!

from Restorative Faith Hosted by Alexander Lang

In the final episode of Season 1, after exploring all the various ways that the Christian faith has fallen short when it comes to defining evil, we ask the question: does Christianity still have something to offer when it comes to our understanding of right and wrong as we enter into a future where organized religion is becoming less and less relevant? We begin by speaking with Lori Jones, a friend of my colleague Rebekah Anderson, who describes the events that compelled her to abandon the church. We also interview Dr. Reza Aslan, the New York Times bestselling author of No God but God and Zealot. Dr. Aslan discusses why the church is in crisis and what the church needs to do in order to survive in our current cultural environment. Finally, we talk with Rich Havard, the founder of the Inclusive Collective, a group that draws on college students from several academic institutions around the city of Chicago, who is in the process of building the church of the future. Featured Guests (in order of appearance): Lori Jones Dr. Reza Aslan Rich Havard

The David Burnell Podcast Life, leadership, and truth forged in real experience. Reflections on service, leadership, faith, and the lessons forged through a life spent in war zones, rescue missions, and humanitarian work. davidburnell.substack.com Patti Talks Too Much Patti Hi. I'm Patti and it's been said - many times - that I talk too much. I'm a teacher, author, nature lover and for ten years I owned a coffeehouse cafe where my faith in the goodness of humans was restored every day. This podcast highlights the awesomeness of humanity - er...outside the warmongers, globalists, tyrants and politicians in general. You know, the rest of us weird, quirky and sometimes hilarious humans. We'll talk woo, probe mysteries and leave you thinking about something more interesting or entertaining or uplifting than your grocery list, or boss or that oil change your car needs. I talk too much because I can't help my Gemini moon and Leo Rising nature. I do a podcast because it's cheaper, funnier and more productive than therapy. Epic: Silver Wing Realm EPIC is your new HQ for Realm’s exhilarating action and adventure stories, with new episodes dropping every Monday introduced by host Faith McQuinn. So unsheath those earbuds, clench that steering wheel, and buckle up because EPIC is about to take off. This month, we are featuring Silver Wing: On a desert planet in the far future, an old dragon hunter embarks on a desperate journey to save her estranged son. For centuries, the dragons have been sleeping. But in their rest, they provide a crucial energy source necessary to keep the planet Toon Flats habitable. Amphet Dahl is a diviner, gifted with the ability to sense the dragons’ dreams and memories and to the disappointment of her son, Afton, she uses this ability to My Messy, Human Life Sheena Grund A new adventure of being alive in this messy, difficult, and beautiful human life... topics to be discussed at different times: life, unlearning, disability, faith, love, Spirit... really all the things! It'll be messy (as in all over the place), but that literally in the title of the podcast, so hopefully it's not a surprise! Also, life is unpredictable and beautiful, which I hope this podcast will be, too.
