In this episode, I chatted with a seasoned veteran in Australian radio. Leroy Brown has worked in the industry for over 25+ years and can probably say he has been round Australia at least once. From his humble beginnings putting together a request show after school on Community Radio 5 Triple Y in his home town of Whyalla to a syndicated night show with the Triple M network across Australia he’s done the rounds. Leroy has won many awards for his creativity in radio with the most notably being an ACRA (Australian Commercial Radio Award) for his work with the K-Rock Geelong Breakfast show for his documentary on homelessness. Leroy is currently the Southern Victorian Group Content Director for SCA looking after Shepparton, Gippsland, Mt Gambier and Bendigo.
