S1Ep32. Caring for Aging Parents | Cheryl Magness

from Friends For Life — LCMS Life, Health and Family Ministries

Cheryl Magness joins Steph and Tiffany to talk about her decade’s long journey of serving as primary caregiver for her aging mother. Listener - whether you’re in a season of caretaking for elderly parents, or whether that seems too far down the road, we want to encourage you to take a listen. Cheryl has written extensively on this topic and brings much wisdom to the conversation of vocation, the parent-child relationship, sacrificial love for one’s family, and how to faithfully observe the Fourth Commandment even when the role of caretaking has shifted.   Resources from this episode: Find LadyLike: Living Biblically at cph.org/p-28440-LadyLike-Living-Biblically.aspx  Find Luther’s Large Catechism at cph.org/p-572-Luthers-Large-Catechism.aspx  Access Luther’s “All Become One Cake” sermon at files.lcms.org/dl/f/AEBCF887-0C81-47AB-B791-F22B758D837F  Bio: Cheryl Magness is managing editor of Reporter, the official newspaper of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
