I think the simplicity of God intimidates a lot of us. I can't blame us because we were either taught or we witnessed first hand that in order to be close to God, we have to "perform"- you know, the jumping up and down, the screaming, the speaking in tongues... we didn't learn that what God really wants from us is for us to involve Him in our decision making, for us to run to Him first when we need to vent. In today's session of Note to Self Diaries I remind you that we don't have to "do the most" to be loved by God or to have a relationship with Him.
