Enjoy!Summary: Crookshanks was never a main character in the Harry Potter books. He was always  in the background, and we never got to see what he really was or where he came from. I believe he was first owned by the Potters. This is because in the shop where Hermione got Crookshanks, he jumped down and caused a big distraction. I think he jumped down because as a kneazle, he could recognize Peter Petigrew as an old friend and Harry for the same reason. Finally, we saw Crookshanks be friendly with Sirius and Lupin.
