The Mets will begin the second half of their season tomorrow night versus the Los Angeles Dodgers with Justin Verlander set to take the hill. The club was not however expecting to be staring down an 18.5 deficit in the NL East nor being 7 games behind the final wild card spot, but here they are at 42-48. We dive into some of the keys entering the second half, identify some areas of improvement as well as players who have to step up if the club plans to contend.
