S2: E20: Back to the Gospel

In this episode, Pastor Rhonda and Pastor Seth, discuss the epistle passage of the lectionary. There are so many places you can go with this passage, but it is a great passage of hope and grace. It is so important to remember that there are so many things that can distract us from our identity in Christ. These things often divide us and put as at odds with others. Paul is encouraging the church to remember Christ and Him crucified and to realize that beyond that, there is nothing else. Knowledge is good, but it does not over throw the centrality of the Christ. Religion is ok, but it does not provide leadership over the headship of Christ. The call comes from the beginning of the passage to aggressively hold onto Christ and continually live in Him.
