S2: E22 - I Think I Have C-PTSD, Now What? This Is Recovery With Roseanne Reilly

from Who Turned The Lights On? · host Shannon Eastman

Her name is Roseanne Reilly, an Irish woman in NYC, who is a masterful facilitator of individuals with C-PTSD. Her career path moved her through being a nurse, a health & safety educator and trainer, an advanced practitioner of Craniosacral Therapy, and today, a Trauma Informed Practitioner with dozens of qualifications and certifications to her name after more than 10 years study in the areas of stress and its affects on the brain-body. Roseanne herself has risen from the provebial ashes that allows her to show up in a way that facilitates the Highly Successful, Secretly in Despair folk who are exhausted! In this episode, Roseanne shares a distinction between healthy stress, chronic stress, trauma stress, extended trauma stress and why the brain-body is the first stop on the way out of all of this. We examine  the 0-5 yrs old time frame answering the how and why those first 5 years significantly influence who we become as adults. Roseanne shares how the Nervous System is functioning under duress, and what steps we can take now to support our brain-body to recover. I ask Roseanne to get us to the starting line - "We have C-PTSD, now what?" And... where is the starting line, what does it look like, what do we do there and how long before we get to move on? Roseanne shares valuable information on how you can do this on your own, and a few reasons as to why you can't before I ask Roseanne to tell me more about her 6-week R.I.S.E. program supported by 1-to-1 sessions with her, before we give her the floor for some final thoughts.  I learned so much in this episode. I am excited to be able to share this one with you.  R.I.S.E. with Roseanne - Program Information - Click Here for PDF >  handsoftimehealing.com  [email protected] ________________________________________________________ The Trauma Informed Growth Podcast explores Complex Trauma, C-PTSD and Post-Traumatic Growth through a business lens.  You can get a free PDF copy of Shannon's latest book "C-PTSD at Work: Highly Functioning, Secretly in Despair" on shannoneastman.com/cptsd-at-work, or buy the paperback on Amazon Worldwide for $9.99 US.  If you'd like to be a guest on the show, or share your c-PTSD story - have a look at the ABOUT section of my podcast website for details, and when you're ready, email shannon at shannoneastman dot com so we can set up an initial Meet & Greet.    Visit My Blog shannoneastman.com/blog Browse My Published Work shannoneastman.com/books Follow Me On: Medium @ShannonEastman-CPTSDatWork Twitter @ShannonEastman LinkedIn.com/ShannonEastman Facebook.com/shannon.e.eastman  #Entrepreneurs, #Founders, #Employed, #Self Employed, #High Achievers, #Chronic Stress, #C-PTSD, #Highly Functioning  #Recovery, #CPTSD, #Mental Health, #Co-Regulation, #Complex Trauma, #Emotional Dysregulation, #Self Regulation, #C-PTSD, #CPTSD At Work  #Addiction, #CPTSD, #Mental Health, #Body Work, #CPTSD At Work, #BrainBodyMindSoul
