S2 E27 : Richard Sparks Talks : AI in Creativity

About Richard Sparks Richard Sparks is the kind of guest podcasts love — funny, thoughtful, and living proof that reinvention doesn’t come with an expiration date. Now based in Los Angeles, Richard is the author of the New Rock fantasy series, including New Rock New Rules, inspired by his unexpected plunge into gaming later in life — a move that reignited his creativity and reshaped his storytelling. Earlier in his career, Richard wrote comedy for iconic British shows like Not the Nine O’Clock News and The Secret Policeman’s Ball, collaborating with Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese. Today, he brings audiences practical and inspiring takeaways: how curiosity keeps the mind sharp, why creative skills are transferable at any age, how gaming builds problem-solving and community, and how embracing a second act can lead to some of your best work. His mix of wit, wisdom, and lived experience makes him a memorable, high-value guest listeners won’t want to miss. NOTE: We apologize for the audio, there was feedback from our guests ear buds.
