We see it every day, not just in divorce, but the real question is how can we help our kids with these transitions?Transitions for kids can look like: going to a new school, a new home, maybe even a new neighbourhood. It could also look like going to summer camp for the first time, to a first sleepover, taking transit or walking to and from school alone. Transitions for children of divorce, however,  can look different: it might be a new parenting schedule, going from one home to the other, afterschool care for the first time, maybe more time at a grandparents' house or maybe even just something small like not having all their "stuff" at both parents' homes.
