S2 E5: Self and Structural Care

In "Self and structural care", Anahita, Ananya, and Anam delve deeply into the theme of self and structural care, shedding light on its relevance in today's world. They investigate the origins and meanings of self-care, distinguishing it from self-soothing and investigating its appropriation by the wellness industry; and emphasise the importance of collective care in countering oppressive structures and fostering resilience within communities. Drawing on personal experiences and social analysis, they discuss the challenges of implementing practical care strategies in the face of societal challenges, advocating for a reimagining of care that prioritises inclusivity, accessibility, and solidarity.
