Rise Up Nation, meet our guest Keith McGurk!   Keith McGurk is currently a full time Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Southern Shores.  He grew up in Farmingdale, NY, a Long Island suburb. After going to college, he entered the NYC Police Academy and served for 11 years.  In 2016, a year before he retired from the NYPD, he became a Licensed Real Estate Agent and joined the Long Island Board of Realtors.  He could never leave the profession of Law Enforcement fully, so in 2019 he began to form a fraternal organization called Smoking Shields SC and in 2020 it became a national 501c3 organization. Now he works with RE/MAX Southern Shores helping men and women fulfill their real estate goals. At home, he aspires to be the best husband and father to his 4 children. He is grateful for the ride so far and trusts that God isn't done yet.  In this episode, we chat with Keith about his path to getting started in real estate. We talk about how being in real estate is one hundred percent a service oriented business and how he gets to help be a tool and vessel to helping people make one of the largest investments of their life. We also talk about his focus on family, being a sports dad, how reading the Bible applies to different times of our lives, and why we shouldn't worry about the current housing market. We also talk about his super power of being able to hear what people ask for and helping them in confidence to get what they want.
