hello and welcome to the podcast i am jack package this is the daily mayhem with your host jack package we're going to talk about our trip to myrtle we are now seven days away from myrtle mayhem 2023 i've got with us such an esteemed guest tonight creator of the mayhem cruise director julie now new title fact checker uh... official of the podcast mr. dave dwyer welcome to the podcast dave how are you it's nice to have you i am doing fantastic as always excited to be here especially in this new role excited to get the facts straight for all the fans of this national podcast i want them to understand the accurate truth about the man so excited to be here you know the one thing that the daily mayhem stands for jack package stands for is transparency right so we may make an error but unlike msnbc unlike cnbc unlike fox news we're going to bring on a fact checker a neutral fact checker and uh... if this casts your good host in uh...
in a bad light uh... we'll let it happen uh... if any of our previous guests have made errors we'll admit to that and i am looking so forward dave to your fact checking uh... before we get started as a fact checker i do want to ask you are you the creator of like a million slides and powerpoints that get sent out about the podcast that you also indeed need some fact checking for those slides uh...
that is in fact true i am an excellent fact checker of other people's work and not my own uh... it's fun to talk about there's a lot of data right and you're like you guys are like over the top data driven so there's all these things and then the things been going on for so long and let's face it none of us are getting any younger we've all had a couple of cocktails right so it's hard to remember everything that went down but uh... it's you know it's tough even when you're doing it on twitter right yeah i should show you my spreadsheet someday it's got 20 years worth of data and probably 50 different tabs on a single spreadsheet it is uh... there's a new one i create every year so there's a lot of numbers and uh...
they don't pay me to do numbers so they really don't do the podcast i know we've talked about some of the shit in the years past and episodes past and i can't remember it and i say fuck it so if you want to know the numbers go back and uh... you know listen to the podcast where we talk about that sort of thing i do want to say i know you have to turn it over to you here in a second you have uh... i heard from the audience that there were some errors made or maybe some mistaken claims made and that there has been this call for a fact checking so i'm really glad that you volunteered to step up and kind of do this for us i appreciate you being on the show welcome any uh... and all uh...
fair and accurate criticisms of our podcast because we just want to set the record straight so uh... with that i'm gonna turn it over to you one question you're not gonna go back and fact check season one correct this is just this year the 2023 myrtle mayhem podcast i believe season two is that correct that is correct i did some live fact checking as i listened to the podcast last year but uh... in preparation for the show because this is how seriously i take it john is that um... i went back and re-listened to every podcast and paused jotted down the fact researched the accurate answer and then restarted the podcast i went through all four podcasts i would have done the fifth but that just came out last night so i didn't have time to put that one in so did you hear a couple of errors in the fifth there are some errors there yes but uh...
we'll leave that to another day maybe we can make a couple of notes we can do that live so before you get started on all these errors do you want to kind of run down stats like i'm the host am i the worst offender of the stats i know we've had a couple of guests we've had two captains on rick moran uh... ken preedy we've had mr vegas on but you said you didn't fact check that one um i believe my granddaughter made an appearance on the show so do you want to kind of run that down or do you want to save that a little tease to that so you've had three guests in the four episode um you are not the worst um and um one person is error free okay all right i'm looking forward to hearing that we'll go through all the data at the very end okay so so here's my plan i'm gonna go through episode by episode i'm gonna talk about the guests the runtime um we'll go through each uh air one by one so yes first episode super easy it's three minutes long penelope rodriguez is your guest on this podcast um penelope proves once again that women are the smartest members of the monaghan family i don't think there's a lot of doubt there on that your lovely wife maria you know clearly every day shows she's smart as hell uh penelope just a chip off your block there so she picked every force carry team some people would say that's something you got a fact check gave uh she even picked against her own grandpa but fact check penelope was fitting straight facts so no issues there this was the cleanest episode by far not a single error well done penelope she should be brought back more often if we're interested in the sake of accuracy so she may make an appearance and i did you know i actually felt good right like if she had selected me i think there could have been an air about the cast that week that there had been you know some shenanigans let's say behind the scenes these picks were uh wide open she was free to pick whoever she uh deemed as the winning team and yes she's got forced carry taking day one three matches to zero um good on penelope i hope she's incorrect but um you know for now at least she's spit the truth if she gets that right then you're gonna start hooking her up to your betting apps open a penelope account on fanduel yes yes exactly all right so moving on to episode two tragedy and surfside uh no guests on this this is you solo um runtime was 11 minutes uh nine errors an average of one every 1.2 minutes there was an error so let us begin and we didn't have to wait long so uh the 52nd mark uh your quote myrtle man is a golf trip that's been happening for 15 years or so maybe longer for god six this is one of the things you need to nail down because this happened more than once in the podcast myrtle man started in 2006 we've had 18 events spanning 17 years this year is our 18th year i said 15 years or so but okay i'll give you that i should i should know i should button that up i think you're probably 15 years you were there you don't really acknowledge the three years you weren't so that makes sense but if if package wasn't there was it really a mayhem it was a different mayhem i guarantee that i will i will accede to that point is package now in the 15th year i believe you missed the first three because we expanded in year three someone can back check me but i'm pretty pretty comfortable saying that you joined in the fourth year so this will be my 15th year understood okay apologies all right at the 208 mark your quote what does the spy balloon have to do with fat old drunk golfers while mostly accurate alan evans is not now nor has ever been fat he will likely sit in his coffin as trim as his 18th birthday understood yes that is true does alan weigh more than he did in college if he does it's like five to ten pounds i would bet not much i mean he was pretty strong back in the day but i would say at the end of college he made his put on 10 pounds he'll probably lie and say 20 because he wants to fit in with his old fat guys but right i'm not buying it but other than alan evans you're giving me the fat bad golfers right even the guy whose former nickname was the splinter is no longer splinterish no agreed all right that's two 14 seconds later a balloon was shot down by the air force or the navy not quite sure which ended it with a tomahawk missile or some other ballistics the balloon was shot down by an f-22 fighter piloted by a pilot of the great u.s air force using a sidewinder air-to-air missile sidewinder missile correct so military aficionados i'm sure were appalled at that probably tomahawk doesn't even fit in a aircraft you're right you're probably right yes uh a minute later 323 we've been telling you about surfside beach for a long time on the podcast now look i love this podcast as much as anyone but the daily mayhem podcast first aired on february 20th 2022 just 356 days prior to the airing of this podcast right most would not consider just shy of a year a long time okay okay fair enough you have been talking about surfside beach since the inception but not a long time okay uh a minute later 424 every single person has put lips to glass in neil and pams fact most of us have put lips to plastic or styrofoam neil and pams are not known to serve most drinks in an actual glass this i thought this would be your number one leading your number one leading error because i received a ton of text messages and phone calls any self-respecting southerner that has ever walked through the doors of neil and pams in surfside beach knows goddamn well and i'm one of them that there is no glass to be added that far it's a plastic can or a styrofoam cup they are the only company that continues to purchase styrofoam so that they do it's all styrofoam don't they also i think i get those jack the jackie cokes there that they give me it's not a red solo cup it's like the clear cheaply made plastic version of that that's significantly smaller it's the reason the red solo cup exists as an upgrade over that traffic yes so i do apologize i was just in the moment for a second but yes it is that is that is an egregious egregious error there is no glass in neil and pams right now this next one you also had to have known was coming teams come together at neil and pams to unite and break bread and drink wine fact neil and pams may serve wine maybe but not a single glass of wine has been consumed at neil and pams by a mayhammer this is the most debatable probably one of two of all the podcasts has anyone ever drunk wine at myrtle mayhem i might be yes yes your doggy at a restaurant with his meal perhaps but never at neil and pams or scotty's for that matter i would smack it out of their hands if i was drinking wine i knew this one was coming as well uh again you know dave sometimes when you're doing a 12 minute long political discourse on such a critical event you kind of get in the flow and it was it was a slip of the tongue understood and that was a passionate podcast you were solo you were feeling it you were you were speaking with emotion so sometimes facts do tend to get lost in that situation so i i'm not judging i'm simply here to spit facts so thank you um i own that one as well you're right no one uh minute and a half later 732 you were lamenting the loss of neil and pams as we all are and you said where do you go for your karaoke and surfside beach now fact you literally walk 100 yards to scotty's beach ball with karaoke friday and saturday night only those two nights a week though just those two nights if it's a tuesday i don't know i don't know answer the question if it's on tuesday i don't i don't know that they do it every night at neil and pams either so uh minute and a half later 915 you state john monaghan quietly drinking his diet jack and coke fact john monaghan aka jack package has never done anything quietly again i took a little liberties with that yeah okay yes the idea that you would sit in a corner just watching everyone else's revelry and talk about their days around and you just sipping your diet jack and coke quietly just a peaceful guy uninvolved yeah you're a shepherd watching over this flock you are many things but you are not all right okay fair enough that was a good one final error um partial quote in a bar that supported a community for 40 years the bar was open in 85 thus as of 2022 they have supported the surfside beach community for just 37 years minor but i'm not here to talk about the size of the air just correct it so that's it runtime 11 minutes nine errors an average of one every 1.2 minutes which is the highest error rate of any of them but again this mostly gets a pass i know what you were trying to do on this podcast you're trying to speak from your heart about a dear cherished landmark in surfside beach someplace that means a lot to us so again these things happen and you know dave uh this this that podcast meant a lot to me because there was no script it was like you said from the heart and um yes i may have played a little loose with some facts i may have gotten ahead of myself a couple of times i own every one of those errors uh but none of them egregious maybe one maybe one the wine that's pretty egregious you know but so uh not bad but that's the highest error rate huh that's the highest error rate it was the shortest of the podcast these other podcasts were longer they have more errors but a lower error rate but the errors we talked about in episode two are nothing compared to what we're going to be getting into soon okay all right let's move on episode three talked about courses teams and the team names your guest was ken preedy the runtime was 31 minutes again didn't have to wait long 34 seconds in we talked about a trip to myrtle beach and a bunch of us have been taken for god knows how many years at least you admitted in this case you had no idea how many years we've been doing this no 15 or some garbage just a reminder this is our 18th year i think you got this one covered going forward um 250 mark kenny kenny's first error we are back on the same side speaking of you and can back on the same team which i think is a good thing in fact monahan and preedy have been on the same side 12 times with a record of two nine and one it is probably not a good thing i don't know why he keeps picking me for this team i really don't i absolutely we went to buy this we were on different teams he won i don't know why he would pick me it's like a girlfriend you keep going back to even though you're just poison for each other you just like abusive yeah all right uh kenny a couple minutes later 435 uh kenny says making his annual appearance dusting off the clubs michael keller keller will be playing just his second in the last five events since 2020 so his appearance lately is hardly annually right i wish it was annually we all miss mikey when he's not there but he's been you know he's been missing some we need to get some consistency out of him uh minute later 540 ken force carry is based on how their captain front loaded their team these teams were proposed by ken creedy and accepted by rick moran i remember sitting at a christmas party hearing about these proposed teams and laughing so i know they were proposed by ken it was a matter of whether rick would accept them and rick did and that is how we got these teams this whole talk about how there was back and forth and other bs these were kenny's teams that he pitched and rick went along with it you are absolutely going on record mr dwyer as stating there was no give and take it was give and accept or else not or else but kenny threw them out rick accept I'm sure Kenny is madly fact-checking me right now. I'm shocked to hear that. That changes the whole paint job of Myrtle for me.
No, I know. I'm just here to tell the truth. Okay. All right, just later.
We went on almost a whole two minutes, 7.20. Kenny said, Litchfield, we played it early on in Myrtle, like 2012 or 2013. Litchfield was played on day two in 2014, so it was a year off there, providing the first 18 of a 36-hole day caused by bad weather on day one. Litchfield was supposed to be day one.
We were supposed to get rain, so we pushed it to day two, and then it didn't rain. We ended up playing, I think, nine or 12 holes that day. But it was the first 18 of that 36-hole day. So there's a half-truth there.
It was indeed the first of the – the infamous 36-hole day of death. Yeah, I'm getting to that. 30 seconds later, run time on the podcast. We'll get to that.
But, yeah, it was off by two or one year, depending. Say 2012 or 13. Okay. 30 seconds later, John says, I believe that it was the location of the hot dog incident.
Alan Evans, the historian, may be able to tell us. Fact. You are correct. The hot dog incident occurred in the Litchfield parking lot while we were waiting for the vans to take us to the next course on the back half of the 36, which was Wilbrook.
So I'm not fact-checking you there. You are accurate. Also, I will fact-check this part. Alan Evans documents the man.
He takes pictures, he takes videos, he runs the website. But I am not only the fact-checker. I am the archivist and historian of Myrtle. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That felt wrong when it came from my lips. Alan is the videographer. Documentarian. Yes, absolutely.
If there is any picture to be had, it will come from Alan. Every year I go down, I'm like, I'm going to take some pictures and help Alan out. I'll take three, and at the end of it, I'll be like, here's some really bad pictures that I took. And then he has 50 of these taken that are 10 times better than mine.
So, yes. Right, yeah. We would have no idea what people look like in 2006 if he wasn't there to take pictures of it. So, thank God for him.
Yes, right. He does a great job of keeping them organized, and he can call up any one of those pictures at any time, too. And manipulate them later to make us look horrible. So, yes.
Yes, that's true. A minute later at 1045, this is not a fact-check, but you guys are talking about Surfside Beach, the pier. So, I want to give a status of the pier. So, in October of 16, Hurricane Matthew, which was a Cat 5 storm, a rare Cat 5 storm that hit Myrtle Beach, devastated the pier.
It has been closed ever since. And the Surfside Beach site claimed it was going to be fully operational, get this, in March 2023. So, it would have been open, except the timeline was shifted in July of 2022, and the reopening date is now a little hazy. The last thing I could find on it was last month, where the expected date of reopening is sometime late spring of this year.
Late spring. Okay. But, of importance to all of us, when it does reopen, the Surfside Beach Diner will occupy one of the four retail spaces on the pier. So, they will reopen.
Okay, yeah, that's important. If they reopened it at the diner, I'd never step away on it. I agree with you, right? I was going to say that.
The Surfside Diner on the pier there, that was a great spot, 50 feet away from the house. Well, fact-check me on that. 300 feet away from the house. But a great little spot for breakfast.
Never Crowded. Price is reasonable. The food was good. Fantastic little spot there.
I loved having it. Yeah, I know. I love that place. Sad to see you go, but it is coming back.
So, thank God for that. Okay. 20 seconds later, John, the Tradition Golf Club, have we ever played that before? Ken, it sounds familiar.
There aren't many courses we haven't played. Fact, this is a new course and has never hosted a mayhem event. So, I don't know what you guys do when you're off time, but as a mayhem event, we have never played at Tradition. This is brand new.
Also, fact, there are 90 golf courses in Myrtle Beach. We've played 41 of them, 46%. That is not most. So, there are many courses, 49, that we have not played.
And some we will never play because they're dog tracks, so we don't play dog tracks. I was just getting ready to say, of those, what was it, 91 courses? 90 courses. Of the 90 courses, what would be your estimate that they're just never in the mix?
20 of them? More? Some are private, so we probably wouldn't get on them. Some are dog tracks.
I would say there's probably at least 20 to 25 we'll never play. Okay. So, we're at 41. We might max out at 60.
Of 65, we could, yeah, okay, okay. All right. That's a good stat. 12 seconds later.
Yep, 12 seconds later. Kenny, this is not a fact check, but Kenny said the TPC Myrtle is the home of Dustin Johnson's Golf School. I wonder if Dustin Johnson's stuff will still be up and around there now that he's no longer a PGA member. Fact, Dustin Johnson's Golf School is still housed at TPC Myrtle and is prominently featured on the TPC Myrtle website.
I think the fine citizens of South Carolina have no problems with Dustin Johnson. They're embracing DJs. 13.40 Mark Ken, Presswick is our current Day 4 course. We tried some other courses for a couple years on Day 4, but this is a course we've played a dozen times.
Whenever you start putting out numbers, my ears perk up, Johnny. We have played Presswick in 10 of the 17 Myrtle-hosted events. It has been the Day 4 course 5 of those 10 events. It has been the Day 4 course of the last four events.
However, we did take, get this, I'm surprised at this, we did take a four-year break from Presswick from 2014 to 2017. We didn't play it at all. Really? Four years?
Wow. So that's a project. Yeah, well, there's a major incident that went down in Presswick inside the lunch area last year that we won't discuss. And the other odd fact about Presswick, you may get to this, but I think Kenny mentions it on the podcast, but we played it in reverse last year.
We keyed off on 10. Which is horrific. I mean, 17 should never be the eighth hole you play. Never.
Right. And we knew it at the time. We couldn't get around it. It sucked.
It didn't suck, but it was wrong. Just wrong. It felt wrong. It felt wrong.
Five seconds later, Presswick is right there off Dick Pond or Duck Pond Road. Don't remember which. For God's sakes. It's Dick Pond Road.
That's what makes it funny. It wouldn't be funny if it was Duck Pond, but Dick Pond, home of Dick's Pawn Shop, otherwise known as Dick Pond. Same, right there on Dick Pond Road. Dick Pond.
Love it. Right. Is that the same road that Doughboys is on if you just keep going down? Obviously, you've got to turn into the Walmart there, but yeah, okay.
All right. Yeah, Dick Pond. I think I remember that, but Kenny was spouting off Duck Pond or Dick Pond. Okay, that's a good one.
I should have dug up the origin of Dick Pond. I'm sure there's a good story there. So starting at 1445 and going until 1530, there was a very unsavory discussion of shorts cleaning that I quickly moved through. I'm not fact-checking that, but it all sounded horrifically accurate, so I left that alone.
Yes. Yes. 18-minute mark, there was some discussion about Aaron Sachs on Twitter. Aaron did, in fact, a park where, which was a tragedy.
His handle, at Dirt Bagel, was snatched up almost immediately, like within a week or two after he left, and he got this guy, whoever he is, with a new handle, got a couple Twitter ads on my early tweets from Fake Mayhem News, so I looked him up. The guy who took it over has tweeted about 12 times, and the majority of them have to do with fucking chess. Yeah, it's a tragedy. Losing Dirt Bagel, losing at Dirt Bagel, and then turning it over to this knob is a tragedy.
And Aaron Sachs wasn't the most prolific Twitterer of eternity, but yeah, he was sure he'd better than this guy. As Kenny accurately said, it's not so much what he tweeted, it was the ability to tweet at him with abusive stuff that I will miss more than anything. Agreed. I've had to text him a lot more lately, and it's not nearly as fun, because it's not a public forum, and that's problematic, so.
I'm glad to see that you have a cave to the Elon Musk irrational fear model. I'm there until he starts making me pay for some shit, and then I'm gone. I ain't paying that for anything, so. You're not paying for your blue check, huh?
Hell no. People know me, and if they don't, that's their problem. That's right. A minute later, there was a discussion of the abandonment of the Mr.
Mayhem Twitter updates, which began, is another, look, I get the email updates, I enjoy them, but it's, I don't want them in volume. I want them one. Every single day as I eat my breakfast, I want to bring them up and laugh over my cinnamon toothbrush. They need to be parsed, right?
They need to be parsed out. It needs to be, it's too much. It's overwhelming, the newsletter, and you know, Mr. Mayhem responded to me smugly that I could just read them one at a time every day, but there's not seven of them.
It's the delivery, it's the content. There's not seven of them in that newsletter. There's like three or four, so we're getting cheated on volume two. Look, and I understand.
It's difficult. He did it for a lot of years. He was fantastic at it. There was very little trash in those.
There was a lot of gems. So I get it. It's difficult. You know, he's getting older.
He's slowing down. Next thing you know, he's going to be fat. Next thing you know, he's going to be fat. Put on 40 pounds.
So all of this is true and tragic. No fact-checking there. But I'm a little peeved that no mention was made of the outstanding Mayhem updates that are delivered by Fake Mayhem News at Mayhem Myrtle, which continue to this day. I mean, it was an opportunity on a national podcast to give a plug to a struggling Twitter user that's just looking to expand his audience.
He's no Mr. Mayhem, but there's quality stuff there. I encourage everybody to take a listen. So at Fake Mayhem News.
Is that correct? At Fake Mayhem? At Mayhem Myrtle. Because Myrtle Mayhem is second, sons of bitches.
But it's called Fake Mayhem News. Fake Mayhem News. Fake Mayhem News. And say it again.
It's at Mayhem Myrtle? Correct. So it's a great follow. Here's my problem with this, Dave.
I'm going to help you out as a guy that's got, you know, more than 100 followers on Twitter. I believe you're mismarketing that. That's not Fake Mayhem News. You are delivering the goods.
That is real news for the people that are interested in this thing. It's no different than ESPN putting up a chyron with plenty of pre-tornment statistics about the Players' Championship, but you're selling it, at least in the name, that it's fake. And I think we should go through a rebranding of that. And actually, the Mayhem Myrtle, that works for me.
But we'll shout that out. We'll call that out a couple more times and try to get you a couple of follows and listens. It's a great way to keep up with the tournament, and especially leading up to it. A lot of statistics, how the partnerships work, who's got the best average scores over the years or what have you.
And you can kind of peel back the onion on what kind of golf we actually play down there. And I throw in a few snippets similar to Mr. Mayhem. Not probably as good.
Not nearly as often. But I try to entertain as well. I totally agree on the rebranding. And the reason it's named Fake Mayhem News is all of the fact-checking, ironically, that was done on some of the data that I just called it Fake Mayhem News, and nobody could accuse me of trying to be accurate.
Right, right, right, right. Like, you're just saying, like, all right, there could be errors here. Consume it. Most of it's right.
I mean, let's just be happy with that. That's correct. So at the 22-minute mark, there's a long discussion about Full Swing. It goes on basically for the rest of the podcast.
So everything seemed accurate there. No real issues. But at the 25-minute mark, and I'm going to tell you right now, Johnny, this is probably my, probably the saddest and yet the most fulfilling for me, this next fact-check, because it starts a series along these lines. So as a fellow Catholic, you're going to understand this.
So Kenny, at the 25-minute mark, talking about Full Swing in the Brooks Koepka episode, just trashes Brooks Koepka. I'm not saying undeservedly so, but he trashes him. Calls him a douche at one point. So then, immediately after, immediately after he's trashing Brooks Koepka, he says, my Lenten promise was to treat people nicer.
In fact, Kenny has broken his Lenten promise, which to be honest. We were not far into the Lenten promise when he broke the end. Which to be honest, look, he was destined to fail. I mean, why would Kenny set himself up for failure by taking that as his Lenten promise?
Three minutes later at 28, I did not appreciate a lot of very sensitive personal information being given out about me and my personal address on a national podcast. I don't know what kind of freak, mayhem, groupie is going to show up throwing pebbles at my window because you gave out my street and the community that I live in. I mean, you've got to be careful about giving out this information. There's millions of people that listen to your podcast.
It is. I should go back and edit that out. I don't even know what street you live on. Ken, though, is obsessed with you.
Well, shockingly, he's got that right. He got the name of my street right. He couldn't have gone up on there. No.
Jesus. Now, I do know Charter Colony. But, okay, yes, that's a very good thing. I'm safe with that.
There's a lot of things before they get to me, so that's all right. Typically, when we mock your neighborhood, it's Charter Colony, right? We love the whole neighborhood. But there was a night where Hardiman was outside your door.
Davey, come out and play. What a nightmare that must be. What an absolute nightmare. I wasn't even here.
I was in Houston, Texas. Because he texted me during that time. I'm like, dude, I'm not even there in Houston. He's like, oh, crap.
I love it. Thank God. Well, apologies for Ken giving out the address. I can look forward to my phone number, email address, and license plate number being given on a future podcast, I'm sure.
Your identity has already been hacked. At the 29-minute mark, Ken said, Neil and Pam's will open on March 17th. There was general celebration, a lot of excitement. I'm here to throw cold water on that.
Fact, the bar's website calendar shows the bar is closed through the remainder of March. Yeah, there's been a lot of give and take with that. I think probably a little irrational exuberance around us hoping that we would get Neil and Pam's open by Myrtle. I hate to think that we've got to wait until March of 2024.
By the way, I'm not sure I'll make it to March of 2024. Every day. So I may never see Neil and Pam's. I may never set foot in there again.
At our age, John Burrell, day to day. So, yeah. Right. I agree.
Healthy fish. But I think one thing we learned in the fact-checking of this podcast is Surfside Beach is not good at dates to reopen anything. Here, Neil and Pam's, whatever it is. Yeah.
So. Yeah, that's true. That's true. There was some last year, there was a couple of new restaurants that were supposed to be open before we arrived, and we got there, and they weren't open either.
So, yeah, they're poor at that. Are we done with fact-checking this episode? You still got more? No, that's it.
13 errors, an average of one every 2.4 minutes. Nine errors by Ken, four by John. All right, last episode. Got it.
Last episode. All right. Guests on this one were Rick Moran and Ken Preeti, the two captains of the teams this year. Runtime, 33 minutes.
At the one-minute mark, Ken allows Rick to go first, citing age before beauty. Rick is, in fact, older, but Ken ain't no beauty. Let's get that straight. I'm with you.
Yes. This one hurt me a little bit, Johnny. John said, the depleted Capitals team takes on a powerful Rangers team should not be very good. You had it on the background of that podcast.
Fact. Yeah. It was, in fact, good. The Capitals won that game, 6-3, leading 5-1 at one point.
Kuznetsov had two goals and two assists in the game. It was a glorious beatdown. The Rangers had more confidence in the attacks. I know.
It hurts me to not have as much confidence, but yeah, that was a mistake. And I'm glad to... I'm glad to take that L on that one. Yes.
