It then places Siddhartha in dialectical opposition to the Marquis de Sade: both confront a world without a permanent self, yet one finds liberation through relinquishing craving while the other seeks freedom through its unrestrained gratification.Finally, the episode reinterprets Nietzsche’s Übermensch as the person who freely chooses morality through empathy, wisdom, and self-mastery.
