S2 E61: Mother of a Thriving Pediatric Cancer Survivor & Co-Founder/Executive Director of WISE Florida, Moriah Barnhart

Moriah Barnhart is a Native Floridian whose daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of two in 2013. Her daughter was struggling to survive chemotherapy, which compelled Moriah to seek help from experts with cannabis. As a result, Moriah Co-Founded CannaMoms to provide a support system for other parents like herself and to organize their stories to change voters hearts and minds about the medical efficacy of marijuana. After the State of Florida passed a Medical Marijuana Program, she was appointed to the Florida Department of Agriculture Hemp and Medical Marijuana Advisory Boards, respectively. She wrote Florida’s first CME program for physicians and continued to work on legislative policy reform, Co-Founding a new non-profit with a broader mission toward ending prohibition in early 2021, the Women's Initiative for a Safe and Equitable (WISE) Florida. Moriah continues to work for Floridians to legally grow marijuana at home, and much much more.
