S2 Ep. 12 - World Religions - Buddhism

Often times the question arises whether or not other religions are good or do they have truth in them. This episode deals specifically with Buddhism and how the answers to the questions raised in Buddhism can be found in the Bible. Some of the main problems that Buddhism attempts to address is the fact that there is suffering in the world and WHY is there suffering and how do we deal with it. Buddhism by itself cannot fully answer these questions and that is why they explain the need for constant rebirth until one finally understands and reaches the state of Nirvana. Unfortunately this is not the complete truth. The Bible holds the answers and ultimately the TRUTH that Jesus Christ is the only way to reach the idea of Nirvana. Buddhism does not have this concept correct. In REALITY, because there is objective reality despite what your perception is, Nirvana is not nothingness, it is a place called Heaven where GOD reigns and there is no more suffering. You can find JOY and PEACE in this life, and have the promise of eternal joy and peace in Heaven.
