Les regards se tournent vers la Grande Couronne où se concentre déjà la moitié de la population régionale et l’objectif d’accueil de nouveaux logements. Peut-on densifier l’habitat des territoires périurbains sans altérer la qualité de vie ? A l’heure du ZAN – objectif du Zéro Artificialisation Nette – et de l’imbrication des diverses « crises », l’atterrissage opérationnel des objectifs de production de logements neufs se heurte à une équation compliquée à résoudre : • respecter des impératifs environnementaux croissants mais encore imprécis et débattus, • renouveler et accueillir une population périurbaine aux profils et modes de vie variés, mais majoritairement attachée au logement pavillonnaire et à son jardin, • parvenir à l’équilibre économique des opérations de logements collectifs en zones périurbaines, voire rurales, où la demande et l’acceptation sociale ne sont pas toujours assurées.
