S2 | Ep 9 with Elijah Whyte

Elijah Whyte is one of the best drummers around. He regularly gigs on a Friday night at Sweatshop with “Beat Council”, as well as gigging with the likes of Troy Kingi, Foley and Harper Finn. In this podcast, we unpacked the journey into his drumming career. From learning with the mentors around him, to gigging at Rhythm and Vines and opening for Six60, Elijah has had some pretty fun experiences. We talked about his love for Jazz, improvisation and the mindset he carries into every gig. Believe it or not, Elijah is also a mad movie buff. We chatted about his escapes into the world of film, and even an exclusive insight into his top 3 (trust me, his recommendations are good). Enjoy this poddy with Elijah.
