At the age of 19, as an activist, she had been arrested and beaten into a coma, narrowly escaping death. In this amazing episode, Soodabeh talks about her escape from Iran to what she hoped would be freedom in America. Arriving in the US with nothing, and no understanding of the English language, Soodabeh attempted to end her life. This was not the end for her, and the turnaround story we hear in this episode is simply wonderful. Soodabeh studied nursing and finally found her life and purpose in the US.
