Hello Believers. Today Chris speaks to Film and TV writer, novelist and poet David Macpherson. David is the creator and writer of the Amazon Prime Original series 'The Rig'. After a series of short careers including working in the UK parliament, working for the police in the area of youth justice and working on environmental policy alongside the Scottish Government, David transitioned into writing for the screen when his spec script 'Wrath' was nominated for the Edinburgh TV Festival's New Writing Award and also made it onto the Brit List of the best unproduced screenplays in the UK. In the chat David talks about bringing the Amazon Prime show 'The Rig' to the screen, growing up on oil rigs, how he writes, the current cultural climate in Scotland and beyond, his love of science fiction and The X Files S2 Ep22 'F.
