S2 EP3. The Challenges of Moving Abroad and Cultural Differences, Building Resilience, Side Hustles, Obsessive Tendencies, Addiction, & Channelling Grief as Motivation with Harrison Peacock

from Wholeness with Hannah · host Hannah Baldwin

This week Hannah is joined by Harrison Peacock. He moved to China over ten years ago and has built a new life there. Harrison explains some of the challenges he faced and how moving to somewhere that has a very different culture than the one you come from, can be testing at times but something he has learnt to also enjoy. Harrison explains how his mum's death from alcoholism left him understandably heartbroken, and he graciously shares the lessons he has learnt, and how he was able to channel his grief into motivation to live his life to the fullest.  Hannah and Harrison discuss various ways people channel their obsessive tendencies and how Harrisons side hustle of coaching is allowing him to help people channel them into things that can improve their health and wellbeing. Harrison touches on what he has learnt from studying addiction and how he hopes to continue his learning and find ways to help others. Harrison also mentions how he no longer drinks alcohol, and how he deals with feeling ‘boring’ at times. It is a relatable, honest, and heartfelt conversation and highlights how life really is not linear - but that is ok. We learn and grow along the way.  You can follow the podcast at @wholenesswithhannah on Instagram or email the podcast at [email protected]
