On today’s show I chat with the incredibly knowledgable Loz about her two empowering births and what her work as a postpartum doula entails. Loz describes her fist pregnancy as her spiritual awakening, having a deep impact on her in the greatest way. Her waters broke at 38 weeks putting her on the clock for her birth at a birthing centre with a private midwife. Although a beautiful experience, she wanted to eliminate the extra pressures that came with birthing within the system and chose to birth her second baby at home. Suffering a loss between pregnancies she discusses how not processing that loss then impacted her mindset during her labour and how the space held for her by her support team allowed her to overcome those fears when they dropped in. She shares her tips on how to create space for your baby during a posterior labour and answers some questions sent in by you, the listeners, about being a postpartum doula.
