S2 EP59: Dr Diana Pakzamir - Hospital birth + Accidental Freebirth During a Pandemic

On today’s show I chat with Melbourne chiropractor and mother of two, Diana. Coming from a long-line of generational birth trauma, Diana chose to change the narrative with her own birth journey. She hired a doula, did a hypnobirthing course and learnt all she could about physiological birth to give her the tools and knowledge she needed to navigate the system and give birth, drug-free, at her local hospital. When she became pregnant with her second child, she again planned to birth at the local hospital only two minutes away, but her daughter had other plans and she ended up accidentally freebirthing her at home. We chat about the healing effect her birth had on her mother, and how the greatest act of surrender helped keep her environment calm and tranquil while bringing her daughter earthside.
