S2 EP61 - Dayna Jangles - Three hospital births + Freebirth

from Positive Birth Australia

Today’s episode features the four births of Brisbane midwife and soon-to-be mother of five, Dayna. Having her first child at a young age meant she entered her journey from maiden to mother with very little knowledge on birth or the type of care she wanted. Although at the time she considered that experience a positive one, seeing her sister have a water birth prompted her to change her of model of care with baby number two. A colostasis diagnosis during her third pregnancy meant an induction was imminent and no chance of another beautiful water birth, but instead of letting that defeat her, she decided to relinquish the fear and doubt and trust in what will be. When baby number four arrived womb-side the deep confidence in herself and birth would shine through when she decided to free birth him at home.
