S2:EP7 - Melanie Grabowski: Autism, Montessori & elective home education.

Melanie is a parent of two neurodivergent teens, a Montessori practitioner and Higher Level Teaching Assistant and specialist support practitioner for children with additional needs. She has worked in classrooms since 2011; starting with Montessori kindergarten in Austria, then at a Montessori school primarily with children aged 3 -9 in Australia before moving to England where she worked in mainstream primary and lower secondary. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology, and she recently completed a Masters degree in Education with Montessori. Melanie is also a home ed Mum since September 2020, supporting her children through GCSEs and now A Levels. She has a strong interest in learning environments that align with developmental needs and more particularly for neurodivergent children and young people.
