Our guest Beth, realized that her partner, and father of her young son, was in trouble when she found bottles of Opioids hidden around the house. After another deployment to Afghanistan, his drug use would  get so bad that they would separate. His visits to their son would be fewer and further between and it became noticeable he was high each time, to the point that she felt it was unsafe. Eventually, and heartbreakingly, the opioids would turn to heroin, and his story would end in Suicide. We hear about the tragic moments when Beth had to explain to their young son what had happened, and how they started on the journey of grief together, It's utterly devastating, inspiring, and incredibly humbling.
