Creativity is LIMITLESS!Troy DeVolld is widely regarded as a leading authority on the reality television storytelling process, and regularly speaks to students and media groups from Los Angeles to London to Tel Aviv about what it takes to create engaging content.DeVolld's career in reality television started in 2000 with a job as a tape logger and transcriptionist for the MTV reality competition show Fear, which eventually afforded him his first credit as a story producer in the show's second season. He has since been credited on hundreds of hours of television including the debut seasons of The Osbournes, The Surreal Life, Flipping Out and Hollywood Game Night as well as multiple seasons of Dancing With the Stars and Basketball Wives.DeVolld shared a Daytime Emmy® Award nomination for his work on the Style Network series Split Ends in 2009 and was the ninth alumnus inducted into Full Sail University's Hall of Fame in June of 2010. He is the author of Reality TV: An Insider's Guide to TV's Hottest Market and And Another Thing: A Beginner's Guide to the Television Notes Process. He's currently producing a documentary feature about reality television called Remember, We're Not Here.DeVolld has spoken to students and alumni of many major media schools about the processes involved in making reality TV, and has alternately moderated and appeared on panels discussing the genre at the Writers Guild of America West.
