EPISODE OVERVIEW Wells Fargo Chief Executive Charles Scharf aka "Chuck" angered some Black employees in a Zoom meeting this summer when he made the statement, "While it might sound like an excuse, the unfortunate reality is that there is a very limited pool of black talent to recruit from," This was the lame excuse Chuck used to explain why the bank had trouble reaching diversity goals. This is not Wells Fargo's first time in the news. They have admitted to opening fake accounts and opening accounts for customers without knowledge. In February the bank reached a $3 billion settlement with regulators to close the books on the bank's civil and criminal liability.
