S2 Mini Series Part IV : Comparing finances

from A Mess, Nonetheless Hosted by A Mess, Nonetheless

Isn’t it easy to wonder what life would be like in someone else’s financial shoes? Melissa and Rachel share their experiences with comparison in finances, and how they’ve NEVER been happier for stumbling into that territory. They discuss the Bible, and how we can all be challenged to examine our lives in this area. Show Notes: 1. Other people aren’t always happy with their finances, no matter what it looks like: Ecclesiastes 5:10 “Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” 2. God decides who gets what: (Deuteronomy 8:18) “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, 3. Desiring wealth above all (greed) brings problems down on us all: (Proverbs 15:27) “Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live.” Challenge: Find "your thing" we talked about this episode, evaluate and work on areas you find yourself comparing.
