From 2011-2015, Helle served as Prime Minister of Denmark, the first woman ever to hold that office. Since 2020, she has served as co-chair of an independent oversight board for Meta to help its social media sites, Facebook and Instagram, answer some of their most difficult questions around freedom of expression online.
