S2E12 Pain Into Punchlines, an Interview With Karen Mills

Karen Mills has been a nationally touring comedian for twenty-five years. She can be heard daily on the Sirius / XM comedy channels. Karen has made numerous appearances at the Grand Ole Opry and she recently recorded the new television show "Stand Up Nashville - Live @ Zanies" airing on the Circle Network. In 2016 Karen gave her now renown talk “Cancer is a Laughing Matter” at TEDxChattanooga where she brought attention to ovarian cancer, turning pain into punchlines and bringing much needed attention to the Disease that afflicts over 20,000 women in the US every year. Karen has faced every challenge with humor and determination. At 5'2" she has been told more than once that she was too short to play basketball. Not only did she play, but in 1981 she led the nation in assists and became the first in UT Chattanooga’s history to join the All-American team.
