S2E13 - Indig Electronic

This week's show is dedicated to Indigenous Electronic artists! Lisa Girbav starts off the hour solo, but is soon joined by Mario Parent and Anna Ward. This #UncededMusic playlist covers a variety of Indigenous artists (but didn't get to play any of A Tribe Called Red this time)! Lisa's favourite picks include Chauncey Tails and Silla and Rise. This playlist is available on Twitter under the #UncededMusic hashtag, also featuring David Morin, Cody Coyote, DJane Koki and Niska Napoleon, Dean Hunt, DJ Shub and Exquisite Ghost x Ziibiwan. Lisa and Mario discuss the importance of remix culture in Indigenous contemporary urban spaces and a whole whack of #UncededEvents listings (also available on our Unceded Airwaves Twitter and Facebook pages!). Support Indigenous artists by buying their music!! Thank you to Mario Parent, Anna Ward and Lisa Girbav for lending their voices to this weeks episode. Unceded Airwaves on CiTR 101.9FM broadcasts from the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam people. This show is put together every week by UBC's Indigenous Radio Collective, and we are committed to centering the voices of Native people and offering alternative narratives that empower Native people and their stories.
