S2E16 - Zanele Macalagh, Managing Partner: Macalagh Stanford Attorneys

Zanele obtained her LLB degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2014. She became an admitted attorney of the High Court in 2018 after completing her two year articles at Ryan Lewis Attorneys, a boutique law firm in Rivonia which specialises in commercial litigation. This is where she gained her in depth knowledge of commercial litigation.   In April 2019, she incorporated her own practice called Macalagh Stanford Attorneys and is currently the Managing Partner of the firm. The firm specialize in Company Restructuring and Insolvency law litigation.   In addition, Zanele is a Liquidator on the Master of the High Court’s panel of Insolvency Practitioners, a member of the Association for Black Business Rescue and Insolvency Practitioners South Africa. She is currently completing an Advanced Postgraduate Course in Insolvency Litigation at the University of Pretoria.   Outside of law, Zanele is a mother of two girls aged 11 and 6. She also runs a successful online swimwear store called Poise Swimwear.
