Joe is our first FIRST Responder and has over 18 years experience working in one of the most competitive, physically & mentally demanding, and dangerous jobs out there. Born and raised in San Antonio, Joe's family has always been extremely involved with the growth and inner workings of the city and still continues to do so to this day. While he made it a point to not step into the political arena himself, his passion for the city, its citizens, and UTSA are evident with his work he has done with the Maverick Park Makeover and being a member of the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association Local 624 Legislative Committee.
