S2E18: John Carter

This balmy evening Phisto Sobanii and I had a long-distance conversation through astral space with our good friend John Carter. Mr. Carter is one of, if not, the best writer of cultural and political commentary on Substack. So much so that he barely needs an introduction for our listeners. We had a great chat, somewhat marred by the fact that John is an international man of mystery and joined us on a third world internet connection, where we chatted about local events, living in Japan, cultural differences around the world, and the French and Indian War, aka The Seven Years War. So once again, mix yourself a Suntory Whiskey Highball, and enjoy another episode of the best culture and lit podcast on Substack. If you enjoy The Black Ibis Social Club please take the time to like, follow, and comment on here and also across multiple platforms.
