S2E2 - Mahashane Myakayaka, Senior Legal Counsel & Founder of Basics Legal

Mahashane is an Admitted Attorney and a legal tech entrepreneur. She holds an LLB from Wits, an LLM and Competition Law Certificate from University of Pretoria, an MBA (Dean's Merit List) from Wits Business School, and a Certificate in Business Strategy (Awarded Top Student) from the University of La Verne (USA). She has more than 10 years working experience in the legal field, mostly covering the Sub-Saharan African region. Mahashane has also worked and lived in Switzerland and the UK.     Mahashane is currently the Strategic Lead and Founder of Basics Legal, an online legal services platform and marketplace for Start-Ups and SMME's in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is an Executive Board Member and also an In-House Senior Legal Counsel heading up the African legal and compliance department of a multinational company.
