S2E22: Dr. Zachary Porcu

On this beautiful Lowcountry afternoon Dr. Zac, author of Journey to Reality: Sacramental Life in a Secular Age, and host of The Roots of Everything from Ancient Faith, honors us by joining Phisto Sobanii and me on Black Ibis Social Club. We chat about his book, the Orthodox Faith, our secular world, and sacramental living. Later in the episode we touch on the contemporary concern towards young men and women, how to approach advice giving, and even get into some literary discussion about Lord of the Rings and The Space Trilogy. For our diehard fans, Dr. Porcu manages to elevate the ongoing debate between Panam and Judy to greater intellectual heights. So, brew yourself a hot cup of Earl Gray and kick back for another fantastic episode of The Black Ibis Social Club.I highly recommend Dr. Porcu’s book Journey to Reality: Sacramental Life in a Secular Age. Even if you are not Orthodox or any denomination of Christian, you will get something out of reading it. My highest recommendation. I also highly recommend Dr. Porcu’s new podcast, The Roots of Everything. I’ve spent the last two weeks devouring every episode and can’t wait to listen to the current series to completion.
