Gather around children, we have a special pod for you today! We interviewed Victor Bonacore, independent movie director and actor, celebrating his most recent movie Thrust! We were connected by our friends the Midnight Creeps, who are also in the movie, and who were sooo kind to send us 3 unreleased songs that you can listen to on this podcast! We were surprised to learn just how long this movie has been in the works, beginning with a band his sister Amy was in called Thrust! in the 90's, made up of girls who worked at CBGB & their friends. Victor shares the plot of Thrust!, which is set in post apocalyptic times where girl gangs run the world and most men are extinct. There are a few good ones left, but the 2 main characters - Aloe & Vera are on a quest to kill the worst of the worst, Dirtbag Mike. We also discuss logistics of making the movie, working with scream queen Linnea Quigley, troubles involving the police, how to get the perfect "plop" (that's a poop joke), and a lot more.
