S2E4 - Human rights in Palestine

from The Paradigm Shift on 4ZZZ

On today's show we are talking about the ongoing dispossession, oppression, resilience and resistance of Palestinian people. We get an update from Lee Rhiannon who has just returned from Palestine, hear about the importance of Palestinian dakbe dancing from Sameer Ellagta, and replay an interview with Olfat Mahmoud - a legend of Palestinian humanitarian work who has sadly just passed away. Originally broadcast 29/09/23 Note: This episode went to air on the radio a week before a military operation by Palestinian group Hamas began the latest high profile development in the seemingly never-ending war between Israel and Palestin. I am uploading it as a podcast now not in support of Hamas and their tactics, but to hopefully show some of the reasons why Palestinians continue to fight a war they seemingly can not possibly win. My solidarity is with the Palestinian people who every day suffer the low level war of continuing occupation and invasion of their land and lives. By making this show both as a radio program and a podcast I was hoping to bring attention and support to their continuing struggle for basic human rights.
